This listing is for a vintage Japanese kimono and obi combination.
The kimono is a cheerful pink with a pattern of chrysanthemums outlined in yellow and filling the entire surface. The petals overlap in every direction, giving the pattern a collaged look. Lined, silk, and in excellent condition. Length=60in Wrist-to-wrist=50in Waist/hips=45in
The obi is a lightweight, summer style of hakata obi - a firm single layer with a woven pattern. As this is a summer version, it is slightly see-through but stiff enough to hold a crisp bow. We are unsure about the fiber - likely a silk blend with something that would keep the firm hand.
The obi is 14 inches wide except for the last 18 inches, where the width is folded over and sewn in half, which makes tying the bow easier. There are a few very light spots on the obi that are easily hidden when tied.
