Haori.
A haori is a type of short kimono.
It is worn over a kimono to protect against the cold and as formal clothing.
Today, in addition to the traditional way of wearing it, it can also be worn over clothing or turned inside out to expose the lining.
As a fashion item such as a jacket.

The whole is dyed purple, and the pattern of the southern sky is drawn.
The weave pattern woven throughout the fabric is a swastika pattern of Sanskrit characters called "manji tsunagimon".
The pattern that emerges three-dimensionally depending on how the light hits it is beautiful.

It takes a lot of time and effort to dye the patterned cloth woven with white thread and then draw the floral pattern.
This requires skilled craftsmanship.

"Haura" is a pattern of pine, bamboo and plum.
(Haura is the lining of haori.)

This is an antique long haori with a Showa retro atmosphere.

Made from 100% vintage silk kimono fabric, due to the delicate nature of the fabric,
Hand wash or machine silk wash on cold setting, then cold iron or dry clean.
